For parents of middle & high schoolers

Take a breath.
We’ll build the plan.

When homework is a nightly battle and grades keep slipping, it’s hard to know where to start. I’ll find what’s getting in the way, build a plan your student can follow, and keep you in the loop, so you can stop being the homework police.

You’re not alone, and you’re not doing anything wrong. Middle and high school just got harder.

“I want to help, but the math looks nothing like how I learned it.”

“High school is coming and I’m not sure we’re ready.”

~20 years teaching

Hi! I’m Eric.

I’ve spent nearly 20 years teaching middle school math, and I’ve sat across from a lot of worried parents at conferences. What I’ve learned is that most students who struggle aren’t missing ability. They’re missing a plan, a few key skills, and someone in their corner.

Compass gives your family that someone: a teacher who takes the guesswork off your plate, works directly with your student, and keeps you informed, so evenings at home can feel calm again.

Study tools & practice packs

Help at home without the guesswork. Teacher-made downloads with answer keys and plain-English explanations, so you can support your student even if the material is new to you.

Ready to hand off the stress?

Book a free 15-minute parent call. No pressure, just a conversation about what’s going on and where to start.

Questions parents ask

Who do you work with?

Families of middle and high school students, grades 6–12. I work directly with your student and keep you updated along the way.

How will I know it’s working?

You’ll get a short update [after each session / each week] covering what we worked on, what’s improving, and anything to watch for at home.

My student doesn’t want help. Will this still work?

That’s really common. Sessions are low-pressure and built around your student’s own goals, and hearing it from someone who isn’t a parent often lands differently.

Are sessions online or in person?

[Your answer, e.g. both: online anywhere, in person in your area.]

How long are sessions, and how often?

[Your session length and recommended frequency.]

How do the downloads work?

After checkout you get a download link for a printable PDF, answer key included.
